The Bloomsbury Theatre & Studio is a vibrant, bustling venue situated in the heart of academic London. It's affiliated with University College London (UCL) and churns out a dynamic programme of entertainment that includes music, drama, comedy, and dance. Known for its exciting blend of both professional and student productions, its offerings are as diverse as the city it resides in, with world-class professionals and up-and-coming talent treading its boards. The theatre seats 547 people, while the studio, which focuses on experimental works and innovative, boundary-pushing performances, seats 70. The Bloomsbury Theatre & Studio is more than a venue, it's an incubator for talent and a hotspot for culture in a city known for its thriving arts scene.

**Getting to the Venue**:

Nestled near an array of transport options, The Bloomsbury Theatre & Studio is conveniently reachable. It lies close to Euston station, the nearest underground station served by the Northern and Victoria lines. Alternatively, Russell Square station is a short walk away and served by the Piccadilly line. There are also numerous bus routes that pass close to the theatre, which is located on Gordon Street. Cyclists can find numerous bike stands near the venue. Future visitors may want to note that parking facilities in the immediate vicinity of the venue are limited.

The Bloomsbury Theatre opened in 1968 as The Central Collegiate Building Auditorium, then its name quickly changed to The Collegiate Theatre. In 1982, the theatre was renamed as The Bloomsbury Theatre to reflect the central London location.

The theatre is owned by University College London and creates part of the university environment. The Theatre hosts student productions for 12 weeks annually, whilst hosting professional productions for the rest of the year.
